Es una gozada de proporciones cósmicas. Resulta francamente difícil lograr que una película tan exagerada en las formas como en el fondo, que hace malabares con los géneros cinematográficos y que cuenta con un elenco tan amplio resulte tan eficaz y equilibrada. Pero \u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Anthony_y_Joe_Russo\" target=\"_blank\"\u003Elos Hermanos Russo\u003C\/a\u003E lo logran, confirmándose como los mejores cineastas a los mandos de las películas marvelitas. El film brilla en todos los apartados técnicos, pero es en lo interpretativo donde el reparto hace un fabuloso homenaje a sus personajes y a los espectadores. Y es que \u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Avengers:_Endgame\" target=\"_blank\"\u003E\u003Ci\u003EVengadores: Endgame\u003C\/i\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E, tiene mucho, muchísimo de eso, de homenajear lo que ha supuesto esta saga en lo cinematográfico y en lo sentimental. Empezando por esa frase promocional \"Parte del viaje es el final\", que en la película está en boca del memorable \u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_Downey_Jr.\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ERobert Downey Junior\u003C\/a\u003E. \u003Cb\u003E\u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Avengers:_Endgame\" target=\"_blank\"\u003E\u003Ci\u003EVengadores: Endgame\u003C\/i\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E nos habla de que para avanzar hay que estar dispuesto a dejar atrás, que para ganar hay que estar dispuesto a perder, que para aprender hay que estar dispuesto a fallar, que para disfrutar hay que estar dispuesto a sufrir, que para conseguir hay que estar dispuesto a sacrificar, que para vivir hay que estar dispuesto a morir\u003C\/b\u003E. La diferencia entre una persona normal y un héroe es que este último no sólo está dispuesto sino que lo demuestra. Y esta película está llena de (súper)héroes, seres extraordinarios que demuestran al espectador que lo heroico no tiene que ver con tener poderes increíbles sino con un corazón invencible. Dicho de otra manera: cualquiera puede ser un héroe si atiende a su corazón. Eso sí, quien se quede hasta el final, cuando ya el logo de MARVEL pone el broche a los créditos tradicionales, se escuchan unos sonidos que son todo un reconocimiento a la película que lo comenzó todo. En lo bueno, está cerca de \u003Ci\u003EEl Imperio contraataca \u003C\/i\u003Ey en lo malo está a la misma altura (o incluso peor) que \u003Ci\u003ELa amenaza fantasma. \u003C\/i\u003EEn ese sentido, hay que decir que la película es bastante coherente con uno de los temas que se tratan en el film: el equilibrio entre la luz y la oscuridad. ¿Por qué? Porque \u003Ci\u003E\u003Cb\u003ELos últimos Jedi \u003C\/b\u003E\u003C\/i\u003E\u003Cb\u003Etiene lo mejor y lo peor de lo que va de nueva trilogía\u003C\/b\u003E. Por eso, el libertinaje creativo de Johnson ha dejado varios daños colaterales: personajes ridiculizados, devaluados o eliminados casi de forma caprichosa; situaciones que rozan el bochorno (lo de Hux-Poe y Chewbacca-Porgs es inenarrable); cuestiones importantes no resueltas o resueltas de manera burda, tramas directamente abandonadas o redirigidas de forma más arbitraria que coherente; excesiva importancia (en metraje) a subtramas y personajes secundarios que tampoco son para tanto...Al terminar la película y hacer balance, me queda la sensación de que faltan argumentos o alicientes para creer que el episodio IX será el merecido clímax de esta nueva trilogía. Hoy por hoy parece que dicha película será un \"más de lo mismo\" porque, tras Rian Johnson, el enfrentamiento entre Kylo-Rey es casi el único (y reiterativo) reclamo que le queda ya a esta trilogía y porque veo muy difícil superar el listón emocional dejado en esta película por Luke y porque \u003Cb\u003Elas decisiones creativas han dejado poco margen de maniobra para dar cierto empaque al noveno episodio\u003C\/b\u003E (apenas quedan tramas que desarrollar o personajes con peso). Espero y deseo equivocarme. Y ojo: con esto no estoy criticando el hecho de que se haya entronizado a Kylo y Rey como los máximos protagonistas, antagonistas y líderes de la función ni el cambio de tono ni que la película sea de facto el gran homenaje a Luke Skywalker. Simplemente digo que todo esto que acabo de mencionar es compatible con hacer bien las cosas y evitar los daños colaterales que he citado antes. algunas \u003Cb\u003Elíneas de guión bastante ingeniosas \u003C\/b\u003Ee incluso memorables\u003Cb\u003E \u003C\/b\u003E(la mayoría de ellas, dicho sea de paso, en boca del gran Mark Hamill); \u003Cb\u003Etemas más sólidos\u003C\/b\u003E que los del episodio VII (la superación del pasado, la búsqueda de la identidad, la aceptación del fracaso o la valentía ante los miedos son algunos de los temas basales de este film que, por otra parte, entronca una vez más con la famosa estructura del \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/filmstitute.com\/joseph-campbell\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003E\"viaje del héroe\"\u003C\/a\u003E que ideó Joseph Campbell y sublimó George Lucas en la trilogía primigenia); \u003Cb\u003Eel maltrato que reciben ciertos personajes\u003C\/b\u003E (Hux, Snoke, Phasma y Chewbacca deberían reclamar alguna indemnización por esto) es tal que en algunos casos se acaba incluso literalmente y de mala manera con el propio personaje; \u003Cb\u003Ela ausencia de respuestas\u003C\/b\u003E a varias preguntas y expectativas generadas desde \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/javicrespo.blogspot.com\/2015\/12\/star-wars-el-despertar-de-la-fuerza-el.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003E\u003Ci\u003EEl despertar de la fuerza\u003C\/i\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E (ej: quién es Snoke y cómo llegó a ser el nuevo Palpatine) o \u003Cb\u003Ela manera burda y rápida de resolver\u003C\/b\u003E algunas de esas cuestiones aparentemente importantes (ej: los padres de Rey, siempre y cuando nos fiemos de Kylo, claro), y ello a pesar de que, siendo justos, hay otros asuntos pendientes que sí quedan aceptablemente resueltos (ej: qué pasó entre Ben Solo y Luke Skywalker). Para gustos, los colores, pero a mí estos defectos que acabo de decir me parece que lastran una película que, de no tenerlos, sí estaría, tal y como dicen algunos comentarios, en el podio de esta saga galáctica.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cspan style=\"font-size: small;\"\u003E\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: \u0026quot;courier new\u0026quot; , \u0026quot;courier\u0026quot; , monospace;\"\u003EAsí las cosas, está claro que \u003Cb\u003Eel director y guionista Rian Johnson ha hecho lo que ha querido con esta película\u003C\/b\u003E...Eso en sí no es malo. Al contrario. Lo malo es hacerlo a costa de, quizá, demasiadas cosas. Tener personalidad también implica saber cuándo descartar ciertas ocurrencias o cuándo no pasarse por el forro según qué cosas. Y, vistas las declaraciones de Johnson, creo que el tipo se tiene en demasiada buena estima a sí mismo porque sus explicaciones denotan bastante arrogancia o ensimismamiento. Que sí, que la película va de que lo nuevo rompa con lo viejo, pero...hay formas de romper. Y la de Johnson creo que no ha sido la más afinada, por muy buena intención que tuviera. \u003Cb\u003E¿Es Johnson el Jar Jar Binks de la nueva trilogía?\u003C\/b\u003E Puede que sea un candidato muy sólido a tal deshonor. Lo que sí parece cada día más notorio es que el plan de esta nueva trilogía consiste en la inexistencia de un plan premeditado y bien trenzado; cada película parece únicamente supeditada al ingenio y capricho del director de turno: máxima libertad creativa, máximo riesgo. Entiendo que esta barra libre entusiasme a Johnson pero también \u003Cb\u003Eentiendo perfectamente a esos miles de fans que miran a este nuevo tríptico con cierta inquietud por su inconsistencia narrativa y su volátil coherencia\u003C\/b\u003E. ¿Se vengará J.J. Y es que, cada vez tengo más claro que esta nueva trilogía no va tanto de presentar unos nuevos héroes como de \u003Cb\u003Eotorgar un final digno a aquellos que han dado forma y fondo a los sueños de unas cuantas generaciones\u003C\/b\u003E. Creo que con estas secuelas se intenta poner el cierre a una historia: la de los Skywalker. Al fin y al cabo, desde el episodio I hasta el VIII, lo que se nos está contando es básicamente cómo era \"el mundo\" antes de llegar los Skywalker, cómo los Skywalker lo cambiaron y qué mundo dejaron a aquellos llamados a recoger la antorcha o, en este caso, el sable láser. Es, en resumen, \u003Cb\u003Ela epopeya del cambio de lo viejo a lo nuevo\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Ci\u003E \u003C\/i\u003E(concepto por cierto que está muy presente en esta película), una traslación que, sin los Skywalker, sería tan inconcebible como una galaxia sin Jedi, una orden que, por suerte, aún no ha dicho su última palabra. \u003Cb\u003E¿Son Rey, Kylo, Poe, Finn y cía un macguffin? \u003C\/b\u003EAfirmarlo rotundamente sería tan desaconsejable como negarlo categóricamente.\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cspan style=\"font-size: small;\"\u003E\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: \u0026quot;courier new\u0026quot; , \u0026quot;courier\u0026quot; , monospace;\"\u003ELo que es evidente al menos para mí es que, hasta el momento, de todas las nuevas películas de la franquicia \u003Ci\u003EStar Wars\u003C\/i\u003E, la única a la altura de la trilogía inicial sigue siendo \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/javicrespo.blogspot.com\/2016\/12\/rogue-one-no-hay-victoria-sin-sacrificio.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003E\u003Ci\u003ERogue One\u003C\/i\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E, por mucho que lo de Luke en \u003Ci\u003ELos últimos Jedi \u003C\/i\u003Esea algo tan memorable como ver dos soles en el mismo horizonte. ¿Cambiará esto en el siguiente y último episodio? Quien quiera simplemente disfrutar, la película de Wilder es una estupenda opción. Quien además quiera tener un puñetazo en el estómago al terminar, la miniserie de 2016 es ideal.
