Al revés: \"\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.antena3.com\/se-estrena\/especiales\/la-isla-minima\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003E\u003Ci\u003ELa isla mínima\u003C\/i\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\", \u003Cb\u003Een cuanto\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cb\u003E\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.alucine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/229.jpg\" style=\"clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;\"\u003E\u003Cimg alt=\"\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/www.alucine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/229.jpg\" height=\"133\" title=\"La isla mínima película\" width=\"200\" \/\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E a las conveciones de género, es canónica\u003C\/b\u003E: un crimen por resolver, una dispar pareja de investigadores (que aquí funciona en segundo plano como un interesante trasunto de las \"dos Españas\"), un ambiente inquietante, un juego de silencios y mentiras y un paseo por lo peor del alma humana. El problema viene a la hora de atar cabos. Cuando se cuenta una historia, tanto en general como especialmente en el género policíaco, una de las cosas más importantes (y difíciles) es la de \u003Cb\u003Eevitar generar falsas expectativas\u003C\/b\u003E, es decir, evitar iniciar caminos que llevan (al lector\/espectador) a ninguna parte. ¿Por qué? Y es aquí donde, en mi opinión, \"\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.filmaffinity.com\/es\/film575568.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003E\u003Ci\u003ELa isla mínima\u003C\/i\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\" patina y se enfanga. Habrá quien diga que la cuestión principal (revelar al criminal\/asesino) queda resuelta y que no se necesita más. También puede haber quien defienda que no es necesario que queden atados todos los cabos porque en la vida real siempre quedan preguntas sin respuesta. De acuerdo, pero \u003Cb\u003Ehay que saber escoger qué cabos dejar sueltos \u003C\/b\u003Ey ahí está el gran \"pero\" que yo le encuentro a esta película. Del mismo modo que la duda final de \"quién es el tercer hombre\" (un clásico, por otro lado) funciona bien dejando en el aire su aclaración, no pasa lo mismo a la hora de explicar la conexión entre la trama de los asesinatos y la de las depravaciones sexuales, ni el vínculo (si es que lo hay) entre el asesino y los otros indeseables, ni si de estos últimos van todos a la cárcel o sólo el personaje que muestran en pantalla ni cómo se consigue precipitar su detención. Cuestiones lo suficientemente importantes como para dejar su respuesta a la imaginación del espectador. Como también queda a la imaginación del espectador buscar una explicación a esas deficiencias: ¿prisa por acabar? ¿falta de ideas? ¿exceso de confianza? ¿olvido?...\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cspan style=\"font-size: small;\"\u003E\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: \u0026quot;Courier New\u0026quot;,Courier,monospace;\"\u003EDe todos modos, uno de los puntos más interesantes para mí de \"\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/La_isla_m%C3%ADnima\" target=\"_blank\"\u003E\u003Ci\u003ELa isla mínima\u003C\/i\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\" es su propuesta para visitar \u003Cb\u003Eel Sur como lugar mítico, varado en el tiempo, primigenio, visceral y decrépito\u003C\/b\u003E. Un lugar en el que la apabullante e inmensa belleza de la naturaleza contrasta con el temible y profundo horror del ser humano. Un lugar en el que el fango está a uno y otro lado de la piel. Un lugar en el que\u003Cb\u003E la esperanza es un Dios que se ha ido\u003C\/b\u003E. Un lugar muy parecido al infierno en la tierra. Un lugar en el que demonios y condenados conviven en una armonía demencial y perpetua. Y esto es algo que la película consigue reflejar muy bien ambientando la historia en las marismas del Guadalquivir, consiguiendo que ese marco, que ese ambiente no sea \"un personaje más\" (cliché tan manido como absurdo) sino que se configure como \u003Cb\u003Eun estado de ánimo\u003C\/b\u003E hasta el punto de que cuesta decidir si es el escenario el que define a los personajes o al revés. Por cierto que esto del escenario sureño, unido al género \u003Ci\u003Enoir\u003C\/i\u003E y a elementos como \"pareja de investigadores\", \"crimen por resolver\" y \"víctimas adolescentes\", ha llevado a bastante gente a \u003Cb\u003Ecomparar \"\u003Ci\u003ELa isla mínima\u003C\/i\u003E\" con \"\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/True_Detective\" target=\"_blank\"\u003E\u003Ci\u003ETrue detective\u003C\/i\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\"\u003C\/b\u003E. Un error entendible por su coincidencia en el tiempo pero error en definitiva: ambas juegan, en todos los sentidos, en ligas distintas y, además, siendo fieles a la realidad, la pre-producción de esta película es anterior en el tiempo a la de la acojonante serie de HBO. Debido a la intensísima labor promocional (como suele ocurrir con las producciones de \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Telecinco_Cinema\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ETelecinco Cinema\u003C\/a\u003E) y a la inusitada repercusión de \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.es\/title\/tt1649419\" target=\"_blank\"\u003E\u003Ci\u003ELo imposible\u003C\/i\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E, no me detendré demasiado en el aspecto meramente informativo-objetivo de \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.filmaffinity.com\/es\/film329915.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003Eesta película\u003C\/a\u003E. Por cuestiones similares fueron un hit en su momento \u003Ci\u003E\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/La_lista_de_Schindler\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ELa lista de Schindler\u003C\/a\u003E, \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Titanic_%28pel%C3%ADcula_de_1997%29\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ETitanic\u003C\/a\u003E \u003C\/i\u003Eo\u003Ci\u003E \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Salvar_al_soldado_Ryan\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ESalvar al soldado Ryan\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/i\u003E, por citar algunos de los ejemplos más conocidos. Segunda, el hecho de basarse en una historia real, reciente y española hace bastante \u003Cb\u003Efácil averiguar antes de ver la película el desenlace\u003C\/b\u003E de todo con lo que la tensión que necesita cualquier historia (especialmente las dramáticas) se va por el sumidero (y no digo más para no destripar nada). Y tercera: si no estuviera protagonizada por las dos estrellas arriba citadas, \u003Cb\u003E\u003Ci\u003ELo imposible\u003C\/i\u003E estaría más cerca del típico telefilm \u003C\/b\u003Eque de un \"revientataquillas\". ¿Por qué? Tal vez porque el \u003Cb\u003Eefectismo \u003C\/b\u003Esuele dar el resultado esperado o porque recordar un suceso tan atroz, devastador e impresionante como aquel tsunami es algo que toca la fibra más sensible de todos nosotros. Y es que, en ocasiones, el cine vale más por lo que nos hace recordar que por lo que nos muestra. Me parece sencillamente lamentable.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv style=\"font-family: \u0026quot;Courier New\u0026quot;,Courier,monospace; text-align: justify;\"\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv style=\"font-family: \u0026quot;Courier New\u0026quot;,Courier,monospace; text-align: justify;\"\u003E\nDejando a un lado sus cualidades interpretativas, los géneros que cultiven y las preferencias de cada espectador, todos los artistas deberían ser tratados con la misma consideración porque al fin y al cabo los Valladares, Rubio, Camoiras y tantos otros han hecho por la dignidad actoral y el público español tanto o más que los VIPs que desfilan glamurosos o se ponen a berrear detrás de pancartas, etc. Conviene recordar que cuando en este país ser actor era una versión altruista de mendicidad, cuando en este país hacer reír costaba mucho ingenio y unas cuantas lágrimas, cuando en este país el mayor premio que podía tener un comediante era un aplauso o una carcajada, Valladares y compañía ya estaban \u003Cb\u003Epateándose tablas y platós con la honestidad y el orgullo de quien ama a su profesión y respeta a un público\u003C\/b\u003E. Discursos como el del presidente de la Academia de Cine y sus \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.elmundo.es\/elmundo\/2012\/02\/20\/cultura\/1329693077.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003Ereaccionarias palabras\u003C\/a\u003E contra Internet (un lince el tío), el de la \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.abc.es\/agencias\/noticia.asp?noticia=1107046\" target=\"_blank\"\u003Emorcilla de luto\u003C\/a\u003E responsable del documental-panegírico de un ex juez o el de algunos artistas que hablan más de política que de cine asumiendo un rol inadecuado y en un foro que no es el procedente. Es como si en el Congreso de los Diputados el personal que allí se sienta se dedicara a comentar desde el estrado sus opiniones sobre el cine español.
